On the global entry page on gov.uk site you can sign up to be reminded. I did that..then i thought about sending a tweet to gov.uk asking about a code...voila...about 4 days later they sent me a one time invitation code...frankly i was speechless.

Went back to the gov.uk page...entered my code...and answered 10 simple questions..btw if u have any criminal convictions of any kind...(they're not bothered abour driving ones)..then dont bother..it logs you out....then paid my £42. That was friday last week. It tells you it takes 10 working days..should hear next week.
