Kind of off topic, but I agree with Analise when it comes to Priceline. I have used Priceline in the past in SEA and always found decent rooms at *** properties(although I found out that I could get the same rates - and points - if I called the property directly). Again, I know SEA fairly well, so I knew what I was getting into.

Needing lodging in ANC for a last minute trip two years ago, all the properties in my price range were sold out. Priceline found one property in my price range (and ***), The Alaskan Samovar Inn. What a dump! The rooms had hot tubs, but who knows what had been inside them. The walls between the rooms were paper-thin (the cielings, too), so all night all you hears were the jets of the hot tubs and drunks laughing loudly (now that I have put this doen in writing, it sounds like an FT get together). The Priceline website had described the furniture as antique. Garage sale cast-off antique. There was a dresser with two drawers missing, and 5 desks lining the walls.

Luckily, I only had to spend two nights there, and then headed off to FAI. I had an additional reservation at that place upon my return, but called Priceline to cancel (I told them I had to cancel the remainder of my trip), and re-booked at a higher rate at a decent property.
