Do I agree? Dunno

. I think we all have views coloured by the way in which we have seen people who are displaying certain tags behave. It's been a fairly long time since I have been troubled by how people I don't know in an airport think of me but I can say that if you are putting your bronze/silver/gold/premier tags on your hand luggage then you are less likely to be turned away or questioned at business/first check-in or fast-track security or the priority boarding line. Then again I think some people actually enjoy the DYKWIA moment that comes out of the old 'this is F check in don't you know...' line!
On the other hand, there are some who
really are in T5 so often as to be recognised by staff and who therefore really have no need for tags!

On the few occasions I have ever attached BAEC tags to checked bags (and checking is a rarity for me anyway), they have not survived the experience in one piece. I've never used them on hand luggage and I don't recall ever being questioned or turned away at check-in, security or priority boarding. That said, no issue with anyone using them if they want, tags alone do not a DYKWIA make...
For the OP, yes, 2 new tags should arrive with your renewal pack, as the many lying around unused in my house will attest.
