I'm bumping this up as I too am interested in any real life experiences with travel steamers. A quick search of websites including Amazon turns up results that all appear to be the same two or three units branded differently. So, does anyone have insight?
For what its worth, an iron is not always the best (or easiest) tool to use to get wrinkles out of wool slacks, jackets, and other garments; too harsh to use frequently. If your on the road and dry cleaning is not an option, a small travel steamer should work wonders. For instance, those black slacks you've been sitting in a meeting all day wearing that need to see duty again the next day or on the way home. They're not dirty, packing more than one pair might be ridiculous, and ironing is going to cause "shininess" a lot sooner than a simple steaming.
