YYC-IAH flights are getting retimed from both AC and UA perspective. Gone are the days when AC and UA offered wingtip to wingtip service. The retiming of the flights is causing AC to adjusted their codeshare flight numbers. Most of the AC codeshares on UA are back, exception is the 6am UA flight.

What occurs to me is that AC and UA might have signed the comprehensive JV. From the last time Ben Smith was posting on FT, he mentioned that AC and UA never signed the JV because the restrictions imposed by competition authorities are too onerous. It now occurs to me that WS has entered most of the routes that were carved out by competition people (YYC-SFO, YYC-IAH, YYC-ORD, YVR-ORD, etc.). So it stands to reason that AC big expansion is because the JV is coming into force which will allow AC and UA to get a share of beyond traffic revenue and introduce metal neutrality on the transborder.
