Hi guys,

I will be flying to HKG from GLA next week but I will have a long transit at LHR. I am looking to go out to meet a friend at Notting Hill in between those times.

I am taking the GLA flight at 10AM which arrives in LHR at 1130.

Assuming the tube will take 1 hour, I should be there for 1245ish.

My connection to HKG is 1830. I would have obviously checked through my 1 piece luggage to HKG from GLA. So just wondering with me having checked in etc, what time would it be wise for me to arrive back in the airport? Would 430PM be considered reasonable or would you suggest arriving back even earlier?

Since it is a Thursday afternoon, I assume that random unscheduled tube strikes are unlikely and rush-hour wouldn't be until 430 anyway right?
