This is a regular occurrence in much the same manner that a YYZ originating Customer might connect in EWR, JFK, BOS, ATL or ORD when direct flights are offered from home base. It's not uncommon to have significant numbers of connecting Customers from all 3 NYC airports to TLV as an example when direct service is offered by UA/DL/LY.
