They are ever so friendly - I was there again last Sunday evening and the last flight of the evening was delayed (again!). The food is decent, and they made sure that they kept coming round topping up the champagne...
The space is good, with nice views of the runway, and the direct access to the air-bridge is a distinct plus (no chance of the screen saying "boarding" when the plane has just arrived!).
Security is another matter - they wouldn't allow me to travel with my
Leatherman Micra despite it being within the size of permitted blades on both the government and Belfast City Airport website. They then used the excuse that it is a work tool


. In 50 airports around the world it's only ever been commented on twice - both times at BHD. Last time common sense prevailed, this time it didn't.
