Unlike New York City for example, unless you are
very close to your destination, taxis are quite expensive, IMHO in Southern California. With virtually any amount of cabbing per day, it is almost always more economical to rent a car. I'm not familiar with drop-off rates, sorry.
If you are only in need of airport transfers to and from your hotel, your stay is beyond several days and you don't wish to drive, then
SemiElite's suggestion of
SuperShuttle would be a viable alternative.

Driving Distances to the Anaheim Hilton- 35.2 Miles LAX - Los Angeles, California
- 13.5 Miles SNA - Orange County, California
- 17.4 Miles LGB - Long Beach, California
- 35.4 Miles ONT - Ontario, California
- 40.4 Miles BUR - Burbank, California
I'm certain these mileage distances will increase in a taxi. That's a no brainer.
FlyerGoldII, best wishes for a successful Southern California conference visit.
