Are the seats themselves the same in the main business cabin and in the upper deck? I had read a review which claimed that the nicer seats were above.
The physical seats are the same upper and lower.

I would rate Cathay Pacific upper deck better than QF, so if you didn't like CX, you probably won't enjoy QF (the only real difference being that seats are in pairs on QF and single on CX).
