I have a property that I stay at annually that always upgrades me to a suite, has a birthday cake delivered to my hotel room with a birthday card signed by the GM & various concierge level staff. When I'm traveling for biz I'm fine w/ exec lounge access & a suite isn't necessary, although appreciated.

One thing that perplexes me is the focus on the 4pm check-out by SPG members. While I could this coming in handy occasionally, I just don't see it being something that's used on a regular basis. If I'm on a biz trip odds are I'm out the door in the morning anyway. If leisure depends on timing of flight. So I get that it's a perk but it's not one that I see being utilized on a daily basis. Most of the time a 1 or 2pm late check-out is all I need if I need a late check out at all.
