I'm confused. Does this new program mean that Butt-in-seat miles will no longer count as redeemable miles?
Platinum status is useless then...
Say I book a flight from JFK to EZE:
• In the old system, I'd earn 10,564 miles Round trip (+100% bonus miles for being Platinum) totalling 21,128 miles.
• In the new system, if the ticket costs around $1,000 usd round trip, as a PLT, I'd earn only 8,000 miles (+100% bonus miles for being Platinum) totaling 16,000 miles.
Is this correct?
