Is a MR worth it to achieve an Altitude level?

I'm wondering if we should have a mini-wiki with all of the collective wisdom and advice from the many in this forum who have done MRs in the past to achieve their level, or from those who do not think it is worth it, and why.

Everyone here can offer advice, or info on what each Altitude level offers.
We can even post the Altitude charts with benefits (oh wait, we've done that).

Ultimately, I think it is a 100% personal decision. If the cost can be all or partly covered by the generosity of an employer, great. If not, then it's up to you on how you value and spend your money.

Make sure you enjoy whatever you choose to do.
