I'd MR in a heartbeat. I'm not like some super frugal fliers when it comes to MR (CPM wise), but YYZ YVR has great discounted J fares at the moment.

2078*1.5 = 3117 AQM (one way) - in J
2078 in lowest Flex = 2078 AQM

Total: 5195 AQM. Stop in YVR, grab a dinner or stay a night. Done.

Yes, there are infinite other routes which are cheaper, but provided the program is relatively the same, I'd MR up. Plus zone 2 boarding on AC for E35k would be worth it. That and the other points yvrgary pointed out.
