Any recent reviews for this property? Is it close to the main attractions i.e. Walking distance (meaning is Manila pedestrian friendly)?

We are heading off to MNL/MPH in March and plan 2-3 nights in MNL. All the other up-scale hotels seem to be located elsewhere than the Sofitel which makes me wonder if its maybe located a tad off the beaten track?

Any pointers (c'mon GOLDORAK /STARFLYERGOLD I'm counting on the two of you or we'll opt for either Raffles or The Shangri-la ;-)
