Probably not for individual customers but more for corporate travel. They might not be able to be get a nice negotiated rate as one chain is gone.
Not all hotels want to reflag, also some hotels fit SPG and Marriott more than other chains. One strong point about Marriott is the consistency of the hotels. You hardly find them below 3 on TA. Of course some hotels might be able to swap into Hyatt but I doubt that a lot of property can/will do that.
About benees, time will tell but I don't have a good feeling about it.
