My frustration level with SAS is going through the roof. I still haven't gotten the the new EBG card and every person I contact gives a different reason.

After no success on the phone, I emailed to the EBG address and the consultant there wrote that the persons I spoke with on the phone gave me incorrect information in regards to getting a new EBG card sent out well before the renewal date. He said that renewals are sent out at the end of the expiration month and I won't get EBG privileges without the card or app on my return in December. He also said that SAS has stopped sending out EBG confirmation letters to print out and show staff.

I replied that I've travelled in mid-November (my expiration month) the previous two years and had gotten my new EBG cards well before then without asking. I further asked why SAS is now sending out renewal cards so late in the expiration month as it hinders uninterrupted use of the card.

I got a reply from a new sales consultant, telling me since I had co-branded SAS Diners cards, I have to wait to get the card from them and contact them if there were any delays. Here's where my anger level rises - I cancelled my co-branded cards with diners and Masters about 3-4 years ago and have alerted every person I've contacted at SAS to this fact, but for some reason it doesn't register.

Since I didn't have problems getting my last two EBG cards, I suspect that I'm having problems because of the Travel Cash card change. I guess those who haven't cancelled a co-branded card would get their cards as normal, but I'm experiencing problems because that connection hasn't been deleted from their database.

I'll take my phone and hope I get signal for the app to come up - but I feel having a card is best in some situations.
