Anecdotally for my home base HKG HK Express and Vanilla Air also belong to the same bracket - LCC low fares are achieved by using a small fleet and working the planes hard - so if there's IRROPs, the LCC can't recover without substantial delay compared to FSCs.
If you have to "multiple office discussions and meetings to negotiate leave", I am thoroughly unable to recommend any LCC. LCCs are for the not formally employed or those with more easygoing bosses than you or I.
When LCCs work they work well (I was with another LCC last weekend and it turned out well). When they don't work, you're on your own (I burned Avios to get back from SIN but still not in time).
My Scoot sample size is two return flights (four flights). Three were on schedule and entirely satisfactory, but it just takes one to ruin your week - their IRROPs approach is "you swim".
