When I do a dummy booking and use the "upgrade to first using miles" option inside the existing reservation (with the old looking interface), I am not prompted for the co-pay.
Got a letter from Chase today - United is fighting me on the chargeback. Specifically saying I purchased a "Business First" (sic) upgrade and a screenshot highlighting the non-refundable nature of the fare (as if that has anything to do with it...) So tomorrow I'll fax Chase back a screenshot of United's own policy regarding co-pays ...
