Last week's flight from LHR to IAD was so bad it was funny (with hindsight) - clapped out old planes, clapped out old crew who typified all the cliches about "couldn't care less" US service, disgusting food and appalling seat-back TV, both clarity and choice. (Was travelling down the back by the way, but even walking through the J cabin, that didn't look very impressive).
Most "interesting" thing was getting on the plane to discover that not just one but two other people had been allocated exactly the same seat as me. That was certainly a first.
Unfortunately I have to fly back to London this week on UA again, but that's my last time, and then I'm definitely back to BA.
I can't work out how/why Americans - who normally pride themselves on excellent customer service - just roll over and take it up the Mississippi when it comes to civil aviation.
At least AA/UA don't have YQ on their redemptions.
