How do you sleep with the uneven metal edges poking into your back? The seats aren't flush. Do you use your jacket or do you wedge pillows? Also. I find that I have to adopt the fetal position because lying flat means my feet are out into the aisle if not the next row. I have scored these seats on some redeyes, but can't make it work. What's your trick?
All of the above really. On the TATL flight if you score the whole row, you generally have 3 blankets and 3 pillows with it. Between using the blankets to even out some of the bumps, the pillows to make my head/neck comfortable and, yes, adopting a fetal position (I'm 6ft) I generally manage to make myself comfortable enough to get 2-3hrs sleep on the 4.5hr flight. Thats more than I get if sitting upright or reclined even in J on that flight.
