Tight connection, immigration, luggage, TSA, will AY & AA have my back?
So...just wondering.
I'm flying out of HEL to JFK with a tight 90 minute connection to LAX.
Things working for me:
J - class
All flights on same reservation / ticket (All flights sold as AY)
Tickets bought trough Finnair website
Previous ESTA
I don't care if I have to wait for a flight
Against:
90 minutes.
I'll have to transfer my luggage.
So...my scenarios are:
The HEL - JFK is delayed - I'm safe, they'll put me on a later flight to LAX, right?
The flight is on time, but the immigration takes too long, am I screwed or will the airline (AA) take care of me?
The flight is on time, smooth immigration, but the luggage takes up time / TSA doesn't allow me to pass smoothly and I miss the flight, am I screwed or safe?
On the way back, LAX - JFK - HEL everything should run smoother since I don't have to go trough immigration, and my luggage should be checked all the way to HEL, right?
