Frankly, I think this is the beginning of the end to miles and points..
-Alaska will most certainly follow AA in 2016, but having said that, it still will be the most viable option to get decent redemption given their wide choice of partners, and ability to fly fairly decently ..for now
-As far as SPG. sigh, 6 years Plat, 410 nights , and LT Gold.
but I am most certain that the bar will be raised for LT Plat and for regular yearly Plats qualification. have about 120k points.. will probably transfer 60k to Alaska as its 1:1 and get the 5k bonus per 20k transfer .
for the rest of my points, I'm going to go ahead and burn them by booking award nights well in 2016 (as there is no penalty to cancel).. awaiting the new 'revelation' of the joint program.
