There are banks at arrival but not sure about the rates you will get or their hours. Usually those from the US are taught to just use the ATM cards for best exchange rates. ATM is common there.
I don't live in the US, so I wanted to use up the dollars I have sitting around which will be enough to cover my expenses. I have an ATM and a credit card as a back up.
I arrive at TPE at 18:40, so I assume that banks will be open. However, I know from other countries that airport banks don't always give the best rates I and don't want to change a large amount at a bad rate.
