I have travelled many times to Singapore, with SQ, CX and KLM and Swissair. I suggest if you have mileage with Advantage, fly CX and book online to get bonus mileage and make sure to register for any promotions with AA.com. SQ is good for inflight service as well but the seat pitch not great and of course you will not get any mileage in economy. Try CX as the offerred me full mileage with my advantage number and I requested exit row seats and got them for the long flight. I arrived in HK and took a nice hot shower and then headed on to my gate for the flight to SIN without any problems. The route is JFK-YVR-HKK-SIN. The food was good and the service comparable to SQ.
