Now, that I think of it--the reason it may have been so quiet, is because there were so few flights...we flew out, I believe, the first day the airport re-opened. Actually, it was kind of eerie. Thus, the explanation for the lack of noise (thanks for jogging my memory). P.S. have you considered the Ritz Carlton in Marina Del Rey? It's very close to the airport & quite nice.
