Stayed at Marriott LAX, shortly after flights resumed post-9/11. Had early AM flight & it was very easy to drive there the night before & leave our car. The room was small, comfortable -- overlooked the runways & we heard NO noise at all. Wake-up call was as ordered & the shuttle service was great both coming and going. All in all, an extremely efficent, well-run airport hotel for an overnight stay (wouldn't want to spend a holiday there). Re: Holiday Inn at LaCienega & Century: The problem is Century Blvd traffic, thus the drive time is a factor. Marriott is closer to the airport & shuttle runs every few minutes. (Edited to include Holiday Inn info).
