purple1addict You may have as many cardboard boxes (pieces of luggage) as your baggage allowance (weight) permits. However all airlines have the right to refuse carriage of baggage they consider unsuitably packaged. Thus the quality of the cardboard etc. plays a big role. Also remember in the case of repacking at the airport the weight of the extra packaging is part of your baggage allowance.
