My company requires low fares in coach. I will pass $15K in spend for Platinum level flying. 2nd year of doing this. Even if I take my one Business First paid ticket (bought up the return leg of SFO-PEK-SFO to a Z fare) out and put the amount of a coach ticket for that segment in it's place I will still exceed 1K spend requirement for Platinum level miles flown. I am usually on S, T, K, L, N fares with a few W, V and E fares. Even had a couple G fares. So it is not that hard to do. But maybe my case is because it is almost all short haul. I guess if you are doing mainly long haul or transcend on those same fares you would have many fewer segments and thus less spend. I am at 64.5 segments so far this year with 80K PQM and at $14K spend now with another 3 trips to fly (thus the $15K spend at end of year) but won't have the miles for 1K. Will be about 10k short.
I hold my nose as I say this but you might be the rare one for who purchasing PQM via accelerator will make sense,
About 1700 usd to get 6 GPUs plus another 20% (9 to 11x multiplier) RDZm next year
