I was just able to get ~$0.07/pt on my reward points. I transferred 160k points to UA and booked this itinerary:

IAD-NRT - UA GF
NRT-SYD - CA J
SYD-IAD - UA GF

I estimated $0.07/pt per point based on booking that itinerary with cash. It may be a little off but I'm still really happy with the result.
