That, actually (if anything) would be the only consequence. You would need to be a mentalist to even contemplate any further consequences. And even then the cost will be minuscule.

I do this all the time. Book 1 person double/twin rooms and bring 2/3 people into the room. No one ever cares. Especially in the US or Asia through the larger chains. This is because you're paying for THE ROOM not per person per night like the old days.

Hell I even stayed at a Four Seasons once and had booked a 1 person room rate on a suite and brought in 4 people - they didn't bat an eyelid!
