Here is my dilemma....Thoughts are welcome:

Both are in Paid Biz and both fares exactly the same and a hotel night required either way in NY or LA.

OPTION 1:

AM on 1/13 JAL to NRT with new Business Suite Connecting to PVG night of 14th.

PROs: Among Best seats in industry, JAL Service, Huge TV
CONs: Arrive 11PM on 14th and have early flight to TAO on 15th

OPTION 2:

PM on 1/12 JFK to LAX, AM on 13th LAX-PVG

PROs: More Miles, Arrive PVG afternoon so can get to hotel and fly next morning from SHA instead of PVG to TAO

CONs: AA service vs JAL and..THE SEAT. I'm tall..6'4" and have read this thread over and over trying to find a reason to justify the potential of not really being comfortable. Howver, I don't sleep a lot and always in a recline position vs lay flat, but am torn.

Thoughts?
