That's not good advice because the initial Tier Collection Year will end on the 8th the month after one has signed up - in my case, I signed up on October 13th and my Tier Collection Year ended November 8th. Thus, any flights credited right after signing up in the next few weeks will be reset to 0 when the new Tier Collection Year starts. Thus, one needs to be careful when a new account is created and when flights will be taken.
