As for the OP - I'm sure BA can arrange a NSFU on them for life to ensure there's no future distress caused by begin in a CW cabin where you can sleep flat out.
Do you poll the other passengers in the cabin on every flight to make sure that you are not being very self-centric (selfish) by wanting a dark cabin?
As for your last sentence, there are plenty of people who want to sit comfortably in CW rather than lie flat.
