Won't name the bank here, but some years ago, at their road show, they asked if people were Singaporean or PR. Foreigners get pointed down to another bank.
Conversely, I had no problems getting cards from DBS and Citi as a foreigner on EP, but one particular foreign banzk that comes from my home country, rejected me twice after I became PR (even though I had higher salary than previously)
