This happens to me especially with two-prong (ungrounded) plugs as the grounding pin helps stabilize things a bit.
I fix this by plugging in a grounded tri-tap, and then plugging my device into that. Hasn't failed me yet.
I was thinking something along those lines. Its as if the outlets trybto and be smart and stop delivering power in certsin situations such as when get bumped a little. Annoying.
