Ok so I suggest to OP buy their duty free at KLIA2 which will be cheaper than in Europe.
No need to carry it all the way to KL with the associated security hassles.
You reckon that to save money on a bottle of plonk they get to KL and then fly to Langkawi and back? and make their connection.
I still say KLIA2 duty free is pretty good.
