Any insight to the best way to make this happen would be ideal.. Currently thinking of going to BA avios to get the 30%+ and then booking on CP...
Economy or premium economy is fine, im going to have to do this a few times so i'd rather conserve miles.
Thanks much.

It is easy enough to check Aeroplan award availability on line. Note that surcharges will apply to redemptions utilizing AC and several of Aeroplan's other partners.
No surcharges when redeeming on the following Aeroplan partners:
Air China
Brussels
EVA Air
Egypt Air
Ethiopian
Scandanavian
Singapore
Swiss
Turkish
United
Can't Avion points be converted to AA miles? If you can find "SAAver" Coach award space on AA/QF at aa.com, the one-way will cost just 37.5K miles. Connections at JFK, DFW or LAX would be required. Routing via HKG on CX would require two AAdvantage awards, but would allow a stopover in Asia, if desired.
AA miles cannot be redeemed for Premium Economy travel on any carrier.
Also, it's best to search for two one-ways, as opposed to one roundtrip, as both AA and Aeroplan offer one-way awards. You might end up using AA miles in one direction, and Aeroplan miles in the other.
