Before the AA/US reservation system merger on 17 October, every AA flight had a corresponding US Airways number. If you booked the US codeshare, you officially didn't get any credit because AS was never partnered with US.

You could try emailing your boarding passes, but since they already told you no, I doubt you will get any credit.
