Had a fun trip yesterday. MSY-LAX-SEA-PDX-SLC-MSY. Lots of interesting people and places. Whole trip in F. UG's on first two legs and used an expiring RUC for the last 3.

Ended up doing a small club tour. Started at the SC in MSY.

Screwed up catering on MSY-LAX, only 1 meal choice.

Was in T6 in and out at LAX so went to the very crowded BR. Coffee carafe was empty, expresso machine needed to be resupplied and seating was hard to find. I'm sure it'll get better after next Feb when DL no longer has access I believe PP will still be good.

Got to SEA with too little time to go to the SC. Got to my new gate (B5) and there was the new Centurion Club. Small but nice. The usual real food, available seating.

First time to the SC at PDX. Hasn't been "modernized". They had Thai soup, my fave.

No time for the club at SCL.

Met one of the Porsche drivers at SEA and had a chance to learn how they operate and how one gets chosen for a ride. He was disappointed that I hadn't had a ride yet. Who know's, maybe when I'm back through SEA next week?

I know all about the complaints that LGA is third world but LAX T6 is the worst. Boarded at 69B with an AS flight boarding at 69A at the same time. truly a madhouse.

Discovered more of benefits of the DM phone CSR's. Over the last 2 weeks I've had to recover from seven sked changes that I couldn't have gotten done as a PM. No sweat as a DM.

Yesterday, my PDX-SLC, which was a 30 min connection anyway, arrived late and they announced that there'd be a delayed arrival in SLC. I did have a plan in place so I called the DM line. A quick explanation that the earliest I could get back to MSY would be the following afternoon if I got stuck in SLC overnight and he protected me on my proposed SLC-LAX-ATL-MSY which would get me to MSY by 9 AM the next morning and protected my F seating as well. And, got it all done in less than 5 min. I'm learning to love the DM line.

I ended up with a 17 minute connection in SLC (D8 to C4) and made it with a couple of minutes to spare (I sat in 1C on the inbound so I could be first off the plane).
