Got a letter from United offering me 5000 miles to try LifeLock. After reading the fine print, I realized that getting these bonus miles is not that easy as it seemed at first. Has anybody taken advantage of this offer by signing up and then canceling the service just to get the bonus miles? Do I understand it right that there is no way to get free miles? The fine print says you have to use the service for 31 days to get miles which means you do have to pay for the first month. And the maximum miles you can get by signing up and canceling is 4000 miles and it is for their Ultimate Plus service which is $27 per month. So basically, the best case scenario is 4000 miles for $27. Am I right?
