I'm a rather new frequent flier and my trips are increasing. For 2015, I will fall one PQS short of getting United Premier Silver for 2016 (I've reached the PQD). What's the best way to get that last segment without dropping mad cash? Will United send me offer to upgrade for a cost? Any clues on how much that could be? Am I better off dropping $150 and flying to ORD for a day and coming back just to get that last segment? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
