Is it possible to hold meetings at your hotel? I used the Rewarding Events deal (10 nights towards elite status for each meeting) to quickly obtain Marriott Gold status this year.

I earned Gold after staying only 20 nights at Marriotts this year, because I earned 30 nights credit for 3 meetings I held at hotels I was staying at. An added perk was that it felt like I being able to conduct meetings without leaving my hotel. It was like going downstairs to my living room.
