I have two questions causing me confusion which I hope I can blame it on the website and not a rules change:

1) Trying to book a multi-city award ticket with less 24 hours connection (23hrs 55 mins) from GRU-EWR, EWR-ORD. Each segment has saver availability, but when I piece together into one award by doing a multi-city search, it gets priced out as two segments.

2) Can I have a 24 hour layover? Or is the most a layover can be is 23 hours and 59 minutes? I am trying to arrive at 6:00am to EWR then take a 6:00am flight to ORD exactly 24 hours later.
