M&B is not, generally, a FFP with enormous numbers of non-Greek/Cypriot members - the FT community is but a tiny part of the total membership, many of whom will never have heard of this site (their loss, of course!), so we really can't judge by the geographical representation here.

The 2014 changes will only have served to reduce those international numbers still further.

M&B is not, and never will be, a mass membership FFP which stretches across many continents - as UA's Mileage Plus, LH Group's Miles & More, and BA's Exec Club do. There is virtually zero incentive for an international partner such as Amex to sign a deal with A3 - the set-up costs would be astronomical compared to the return. IHG hotels group and Hilton, both of whom partner with many other FFP's, have but a handful of hotels in Greece between them, and those are unlikely to be used by Greek members.

Indeed, even with some of the bigger entities, benefits are being pulled back and in some cases withdrawn in non-home countries, so that's a definite trend towards concentrating on the major profit areas where the majority of the membership lives - certainly for credit cards.
