Do you know what the rate would have been if you'd originally reserved for a same day return? Is it possible that the early return affected rate qualification?

For example, if you reserve a car at a weekend rate, pick up Thursday afternoon for a Monday morning dropoff, but instead return it Friday morning; that's no longer a weekend rental and I'd expect higher rates to apply.
