BA CityFlyer chartered one of their Embraer 170 out from Glasgow last night for a midnight trip south of The Faroes for a Northern Lights tour.

Flight BA7037 was full and got back to Glasgow at 23:47 from a 21:14 departure. I bet the crew had a good time doing that one. The charter company is Omega Holidays and they include 2 astronomers on board. It may not be suitable for FTers since there is mandatory seat shifting!

(I found more specific information on this travel agency site than Omega).

£220 for the flight, EDI tomorrow is full but there's a lot of other flights around the UK in February and March.
How many TP do you earn on this? :P I wonder if all the flights are operated by BA on the embraer fleet? I am tempted to give this a go
