Tax for free stay with points?
Booked 5 nights at Osaka Marriott last month. I found my reservation is 5 nights at 120,000 points per stay. Total for stay (incl. est. taxes) 120,000 points and 29,700.00 (JPY). Do we need to pay taxes for the free nights stay? which is about 6000 JPY per night? Though it's my first time to use points stay at Marriott, I haven't met such cases in Hyatt or SPG hotels.
