AC already flies to GRU and EZE. Any touchdown in the USA on the way to anywhere else would be a severe disadvantage these days and would be the source of many hassles for transiting passengers (ie. the Honolulu shuffle). It would also exclude some passengers from even using these flights due to VISA issues.
