My family of four was bumped off three straight flights this past summer in Florida. First was a Sunday evening to Atlanta=4 @ $750 ea., rebooked to Monday 5:35 am=4 @ $300 ea., rebooked to 8:30 am=4 @ $500 ea., rebooked and flew at 1:00 PM. Delta handed out a Hyatt room from Sunday evening and the lucky thing at 5:00 am when we left for the 5:30 flight, was that I did not check out and kept the key. After the 8:30 bump, headed back for 3 hrs. of snoozing time for mom & dad and swimming for kids. They loved it, no school on Monday and swimming in Florida!
